WELCOME

My name is Dr Helen Curran and I am a specialist in special educational needs/ disability (SEND) and neurodiversity.

I work with parents, schools and local authorities. I provide:

  • Training and whole school CPD

  • Whole school SEND reviews,

  • Leadership and strategic support for SENCOs

  • Coaching for school leaders, including SENCOs

  • Parental advocacy and support for all aspects of SEND.

  • Research, review and analysis for organisations.

I am nationally recognised for my work in this field. I bring a combination of significant professional experience, alongside extensive, relevant qualifications, in addition to personal experience. This means my approach is informed and well researched, but importantly it is also empathetic to the challenges families, schools and organisations experience.

With extensive experience in both state and independent schools, I understand the nuances of each system, including the specific expectations and approaches within independent education.”

‘Thanks to Helen’s knowledge of the school system, her understanding of the unique needs of our children, her knowledge of the additional support and funding available and her incredibly patient attention to detail, the children are now amazingly well settled and well supported in the local school.’

“We felt completely overwhelmed by the SEND system. Helen helped us navigate our way through. She is calm, reassuring and extremely knowledgable. She was always on hand to help, no question was too small.”
